UVI brand is owned and was created by a young company called LEGIT D.O.O. that is located in a small country in Europe, called Slovenia. Besides UVI Gear, UVI brand has other products such as gaming and office chairs – UVI Chair, sit-stand desks – UVI Desk, an esports tournament platform – UVI Play and many more projects, that are coming in the future!

What are the differences between UVI Gear and other gaming periherals?

The biggest difference between UVI Gear and other peripherals are definitely our keyboards. UVI Gear keyboards are made with OPTICAL+MECHANICAL switches, which are faster and better than your normal gaming switches. We also looked at other gaming peripheral providers and noticed, that not many offer non-US layouts, so we decided to make a keyboard, that better fits the European gaming population. We decided to take it a step further and localise our keyboards with a Slovenian/Croatian layout. We also developed the software, that helps you customise your UVI Gear – which we also translated into Slovenian & Croatia.

Where can I test UVI Gear?

We are working hard on increasing the number of locations around Europe where you will be able to try out UVI Gear. Once we find additional places we will make sure to post news and announcements on our Facebook and Instagram profiles so be sure to follow us on our Social Media!

Specifications and care

How do I clean my UVI Gear?

With months of use even with special care, your gear will get dirty and will require some cleaning, so we prepared a few tips for you, on how to keep your UVI Gear in top shape. In most cases, you will need a microfiber cloth, isopropyl alcohol, and some Q-Tips. And remember: before cleaning any device, first remember to unplug it from your computer.

UVI Gear keyboard
The first and easiest step is just turning the keyboard around and shaking it a bit, to remove the biggest parts like breadcrumbs.

You can perform regular maintenance with a can of compressed air or with a handheld or regular vacuum cleaner, just make sure you don’t press on keycaps too much. For wiping the cleaner, we recommend using a mildly damp microfiber, that doesn’t leave fibers behind to wipe all surfaces of the keyboard and then wipe it with another dry cloth.

UVI gear is a mechanical keyboard with removable keycaps, that allows easy, deep clean. Using the supplied keycap remover, remove all keycaps and place them into a bowl of warm (not HOT) water, with the addition of a non-aggressive cleaning element (like dish soap). Leave them to soak for a few hours. In the meantime wipe the board with a damp microfiber cloth and use Q-tips with some alcohol to clean between the keycaps. After a few hours of soaking, rinse, and wipe every keycap and attach them back to the board.

UVI Gear Mouse
First, remember to unplug your mouse. Wipe the whole mouse with a clean cloth in order to remove the majority of dirt and use a toothpick to clean the crevices between different parts and beneath buttons. Special care should be aimed at feet on the bottom of your mouse – make sure you do not scratch them with your toothpick. Dip your cloth and Q-tip in isopropyl alcohol and wipe the whole mouse, including feet. Make sure you always use the clean part of cloth or Q-tip. Apply special care to your mouse sensor – gently brush it with a Q-tip or with a corner of the microfiber cloth.

UVI Gear Headphones
Again you will need a microfiber cloth, Q-tips, and some cleaning alcohol. Wipe the entire surface area with a damp cloth and dry it with another. Then dip the cloth and clean rubber pads. Then use the Q-tip to clean crevices of the ear pads.

UVI Gear Mousepads
Fill a bowl of warm water with an addition of a non-aggressive cleaning element (like dish soap) and put the mousepad in. Lightly rub down the mousepad. You may apply more pressure if there are some stains, that are more persistent. Rinse the mousepad and dry it out.

Do I need to install drivers to use UVI Gear?

You do not. All UVI Gear is “Plug and Play” ready – meaning you can just plug it in your computer and the product is ready to be used. However, if you want to use UVI Gear to its fullest extend, we do suggest downloading additional software.

Where can I find downloadable software for my UVI Gear?

UVI Gear software can be found at our UVI Gear Download Center. There you can find manuals in 3 different languages as well as downloadable software, that is currently available in English, Slovenian and Croatian.
